{2012 Memory}

2012 was also a year of heavy travel for me. Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Brooklyn were all places I was able to venture & explore on official “art business”, I love it. From chilling in Miami with my close dreamer allies @sydneyintheory & @unkleluc , to Atlanta building in the lab with @bigboi @therealbigboi , to shows in Philly & Brooklyn promoting my late album #Exprssns , I had a lot of time to myself to reflect, stay in some dope ass hotels & share deep appreciation for life with my peers & family. These eyes were blessed to see a small slice of this really great world.

“Brooklyn Reunion”
At 9pm, June 25th 2012, I began my live set in front of my family & friends at Goodbye Blue Monday in my birth town, Brooklyn, NY. It was the first time being in front of a crowd with that DNA (My mom, friends, Cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, God parents, siblings & locals who were just bar hoping for the night).
Everyone of us has 2 identities, the person your family sees & the person your peers see. That night I became one person as I wore my heart on my sleeve, profanity in my lyrics and all. But it was a special night still close to my heart for a bigger reason. As I looked around with sweat drenched on my face, I saw the people who loved me for me, no facade; & they believed in me. I made believers out of family & @robmoralesphotography was there to capture it.
For that I thank the Most High.
